Good engineering schools with good merit-based aid? 34 ACT & 4.62 weighted GPA.

@ColdinMinny pretty excited about U MN, though, and I can’t wait to hear about my financial aid package haha. Could you elaborate on what you mean by “flexible” financial aid and merit.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I know at least 2 students that negotiated better deals than their initial offers. These were strong candidates, but it can’t hurt to ask, no?

Good luck.

@ColdinMinny How would I negotiate, over the phone? I’ll give it a try for U Wisconsin too, just got accepted earlier today.

Suggest you tell them about competitive offers, and ask them if they will match or beat those. They may ask to see them in writing.

You would also get a 30k a year scholarship at the University of Arizona. https://financialaid.arizona.edu/types-of-aid/scholarships/freshman-transfer Also a good school. @talexr

You would probably get 30,000 a year at SMU and then the engineering department has a lot of scholarship available as well 7-15k (depends on a few factors obviously). May be worth taking a look
