Good Enough for Northwestern?

Hey guys

So what do you think my chances are for Northwestern Early Decision?

Heres my stats and accomplishments:

4.93 Weighted GPA
4th in Class ranking
3.98 Unweighted GPA
2090 SAT I
32 Composite ACT
800 Math SAT II
730 World History SAT II

9 AP tests:
5: AP Physics B
5: AP Human Geo
5: AP US History
5: AP Calc BC
5: AP Marcoeconomics
4: AP Chem
4: AP Physics C: Mechanics
4: AP World History
3: AP Lit

2 Sport Varsity Athlete
NHS member
300+ Volunteer Hours
Participate in 8 clubs

8 clubs? Have you founded/hold any leadership positions in them?
If so, match/high match.

I am the captain of the chess team, and I am a co founder and current president of the ping pong club.
Apart from that, Im in Debate, Math League, Badminton, Student Government, Link Crew, and Speech.

Solid group–though I’m not sure if the AdComs might think you’re involved in too much; i.e. spreading yourself too thin. Your GPA, however, would def. indicate otherwise. NW might be more on the reach side–depends on your recs, essays, s’more of the “soft” factors.

Have you considered taking the SAT or ACT (or both) again?

You may want to retake SAT/ACT because you’re just on the borderline of a universally acceptable score. With that, and applying ED, I’d say you have a very high chance of acceptance

Not going to take the ACT again, but im taking the October SAT.

low-reach to high-match.
Your only “weakness” is you ACT/SAT scores.
The rest is great. Great clubs, great GPA.

Any details about recommendations/essay skills?

Try to get 2200+/33+. Your ACT score is actually better than SAT.

I have two teacher recommendations and a college professors recommendation. I guess i should also add on that I did a two week program at Northwestern this summer.
