Schools:
Boston College
Drexel
NYU
SUNY Binghamton
Syracuse University
Stony Brook University
University of Rochester
Penn State
Rutgers
University of Scranton
UPenn
Northeastern
Brown
Barnard College

You remind me of myself… High achieving URM with low SAT/ACT scores.
Honestly, I think that you have a very good chance at any of the schools listed, and yes, definitely NYU. The hardest are clearly Brown, Barnard, and NU, but as long as you present yourself uniquely, then you should stand out.

Good luck to you with Brown! Maybe I’ll see you next year! :)

Yes, the aid aspect is true, though. I strongly suggest you don’t take on the financial burden of a $200,000 education when you could most certainly end up at a better school with better aid.

NYU has a poor reputation for financial aid; it should be considered a reach by anyone who needs financial aid (admission with insufficient financial aid is as good as a rejection).

Thanks popcharlie 93! Hopefully I get in!
ucbalumnus, are my grades/EC’s/scores good enough though? i’m applying for scholarships and financial aid at my high school, and I am currently working 2 jobs.
