I'm a senior and really looking into UCR. I want to major in Business Administration/Management. My grades are not that great though, my overall gpa weighted is 3.2 and 3.1 non-weighted. I've only taken my SAT once, but I am going to take it again, because the first time i got a 1210. I am hoping this time to get a 1400. When I took the SAT the first time I was very sick. Anyways, I've done dance at my school all four years, cross country for 2 years, taken a few AP classes, and involved in a few clubs. So do I have any chances at a UCR? Also, I am really looking into Chico State.

For both UCR and Chico State, you need to calculate your UC/CSU GPA:
<a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
For UCR, you need a minimum UC GPA of 3.0 to be eligible to apply.
Based on your Stats, you are below the 25th percentile for GPA and SAT scores and UCR’s business major is competitive.
Freshman profile for 2014 shows an average UC GPA of 3.77 and SAT of 1679.

UCR: Low Reach

For Chico State, you need to calculate your EI (CSU/UC GPA x800) + (SAT Math + SAT CR). If you around a 3700+, you should be fine for Chico State.

Study hard for that SAT and aim for at least a 1600+. Good Luck and consider some other Cal States such as Sonoma, Sac State and Northridge.

My UC GPA is 3.2. And for chico state as of right now it’s a 3,370. I am also interested in CSU Fullerton and CSU Los Angeles

CSUF and Chico State are reaches with the EI of 3370. CSU LA would be a Match. Really work on the SAT score and you will definitely have better chances.

I’m trying! Lol! If i do really good on the SAT, do you think I’ll have a chance at UCR? I think I have pretty good essays.

Since you below the 25th percentile on your GPA, you need to be at or above the 50th percentile on the SAT, so yes you have a chance if your SAT increases by at least 400 points… Good Luck
