Good enough?

Hi, Just wondering if SAT score CR 620 Wr 780 Math 800 and SAT II Math I 650 and Bio 680 ACT 30 taken last year would be acceptable for University of Penn. I am a junior and I could repeat all tests but athletics want it by spring. SAT test upcoming are Jan then March and May. March no subject tests given

Goldye,

There are two essential parts to a recruited Ivy athlete. Part one is academics which I think look pretty good but my opinion doesn’t matter…the coach matters. Ask the coach about your SAT scores. Part two is your athletic skills or capabilities. You should be a very talented athlete being recruited by a number of colleges. Ivy athletes just aren’t smart. Again, ask the coach where your skills stand relative to the other athletes they are considering. JMO.

Agree with fenwaysouth. If you have a GPA around 3.7 or so (unweighted) , your Academic Index is about 218-219, which is solid. Coach may want to see you boost that CR score a bit, but only he can give you the answer to that.

It seems obvious, but as fenway said, the other big part is how desirable you are as an athlete. Very strong, Division I caliber athletic ability absolutely has to be there.
