Based on my scores, (I know there are SO many factors), what schools in the northeast or nearby seem like good fits for me?

I have fairly good grades, but not great grades. I got straight As and A+s freshman and sophomore year, but with all of the APs this year, I managed a few B+s.

I have pretty good ECs, lots of leadership... lots of volunteering and work... involved in school etc., but nothing REALLY outstanding.

So what colleges seem like good fits. I feel like I'm consistently finding reaches and safetys and little in between.

THANKS GUYS!

anyone? i really need to find some good fits… i haven’t found a safety school that i love and you never know with reach schools… can you think of any good fits?

You’ll get better suggestions if you provide a little more information, especially your GPA and class rank, as they are very important in determining what might be match or safety schools.

Also, what sort of school are you looking for? Small LAC or large university? Urban/suburban/rural? How important are varsity sports to you? What do you plan to major in?

thanks for the reply… my school does GPAs weirdly, but I have a 3.95 on a 4.33 scale. A 4.0 is a solid A and a 4.33 is a 100. A 3.66 is an A-, so I’m between an A- and an A, closer to an A… I think thats like a 3.7?

so…
GPA 3.7?
Rank 7 out of 200

As for small or large, I’m kind of leaning towards a larger school I think. However, I have visited many schools, and there is something nice about more medium to small size schools to. I really don’t care about whether I’m in a rural, suburban, urban area or whatever… I just want an active campus. I guess I don’t want to be RIGHT in the city… like I don’t know about NYU, (haven’t visited, but from what I’ve heard)…

Thanks for any suggestions in advance. :)

I am still undecided… but definitely not math or science. I am looking towards humanities/social sciences. Maybe history, maybe psych… possibly english…

And I want quirky kids! I love Penn and Wesleyan and Hamilton even where kids come off as a bit more quirky… maybe that’s what I like about bigger schools… there are so many kids that I am definitely going to find some really grounded, quirky, nice, nonjudgmental people.

I don’t want to go to a super preppy school or a HUGE party school or a school really into greek life. Preps and greek life and obviously parties can exist, but I want a balance, and I don’t want these things to be dominant forces on campus.
