Good god

I wont get in....

Yup

10char—

32,999 other people won’t get in either. I’ll be one of them, so you’ll have a new friend.

Numbers are depressing

numbers never lie

Same here. Genuinely, sincerely, positively. On the bright side, we will outnumber the “in” team. The more the merrier=> we’ll be about 16 times happier than the accepted ones.

Stay positive guys. All of you have more hope than me!

i’m going to think up some really depressing rejection posts in the interim to scare next year’s applicants

One more to the group…

sigh(i feel like a loser) :'(

There are a lot of us who have spent the past few months hoping for a shot, but in all likelihood our apps were tossed in the reject pile within the first few weeks.

Most probably only got a quick, critical skim after the rep read and approved 10 superstar apps, then were promptly discarded.

Rightfully so? Possibly.
Depressing? Yup.

^I’m not so convinced that many CCers were rejected within the first few weeks.

Do they have a ton of apps? Of course, but I do believe that most apps get at least two reads.

You ppl need to stop being so pessimistic, jeez… Chances are at least one of us on this thread will get accepted, take my word for it.

^^^overachiever92: This thread has 12 responses (including mine). The odds of admission at Harvard: 6 out of 100. Statistically speaking, we need 5 more responses to this thread before one of us gets accepted.

^ CC Apps> General Apps.

^Even if this is true, ^ CC Apps asre not necessarily > General Harvard Apps.

not getting into harvard is not the end of the world i promise… haha

CC Harvard Apps > General Harvard apps.

CCers are, on average, smarter than the rest of the general Harvard pool. They have a very advanced sense of the college admissions process and know all of the tips and tricks for what makes a good application. Also, because of all of the Chances threads, CCers have a more realistic sense of what schools they can get accepted to. A non-CCer might think that he/she is a genius with a 1900 SAT and 3.5 GPA and is most certainly a shoo-in at Harvard, but a CCer would learn that they probably couldn’t get in and would either a) improve their app somehow or b) not apply.

CCers on average may be better than general Harvard applicants…but I don’t think I am. =</p>

^Then you are bringing the CC average down. Shame on you.
