I had really bad psats, so I got the princeton review book and the blue book and just did sections till I couldnt see straight, and went over every single error I made. I felt overwhelmed at first like I couldnt ever beat the sat, but it begins to become second nature. I lived and breathed the sat for a month and a half ( a lot less than some kids ) and went up a hundreds of points. Trust me if I can do it anyone can. It's all about self-discipline. good luck.

I live in NJ, so I am sure Rutgers, you will definitely get in. This is an example of what I have heard of, great student, but bad test taker. A 3.9 GPA means straight A+s except for a few As. Don't worry, you should get into any school you want if you just study more for the SATs.

it may be a stretch. sorry, but those scores are pretty average, and those colleges aren't average. You've got rather good other credentials, though: chief editor, volunteering. Try to focus on those areas that you are good at. Best of Luck!

you have plenty of time to take the SAT's again. Make it your summer project to study, prepare for the exams. Take a prep class, if possible. Some people do not do well on the SAT's do to a variety of factors, but they are so important.

Yes - but you're going to need to up those scores a little bit to become competitive for the upper tier of schools. Just practice practice practice. Don't go through the book, just keep taking tests. You ** will ** improve.
