First, I graduated a BS degree in physics a few months ago. Since then, I applied to only 1 school in ME and got accepted. I've asked a few professors at this school around for research opportunities and none of them have open research positions at the moment or during the summer. Also, I'm very interested in doing my research in heat transfer, but there's only a few faculty here that do research in heat transfer that interests me. I'm primarily interested in doing numerical/computational work in heat transfer, so I can then apply my background to obtain a position in the aerospace/defense industry. I am also considering pursuing a phD, so I will likely to a thesis-based MS. I was hoping if anyone knew of any good grad schools in MAE in numerical/computational heat transfer, and also where MS students are likely to get funded? Thank you for your help

no one knows?

STANFORD is pretty good

Stanford at 99% do not provide funds to entering MS students.

(Source: their grad school office)

It will not be that easy to obtain funds as a MS, even considering that ME is not you BS major.
Try to have a look at different good ME programs and contact their office of grad studies.
