<p>I am planning to apply to UCLA, UCB, UCSD, after my sophomore year was fully completed that way I would have time to maximize my GPA. It also allows me to complete a 6-month internship i have applied for. Is this wise? Do admissions officers not want students who have been on an almost twelve month long hiatus from their educations? If I have not been clear on my plans, I plan to apply in November 2010 for the fall 2011 school year leaving me time to complete my internship.</p>
<p>Comments? Opinions? I know people generally apply in the middle of their sophomore year, but I was wondering if this was a viable option?</p>
