MD Mom, thanks for the tip! Auditing, I think, would be a great idea for me because I’d be taking it for a grade at school anyway.

sigurros, I think I’ll still take it anyway because I’m paranoid. I’m really likely to have this sucky teacher for Precal next year and I’ll struggle immensely in it and it will just stress me out so much, just like how Algebra 2 was for me this year. But thanks for the trig wheel!

I agree completely with sigurros…except…for…the…fact…that…well, um, sqdwfe doesn’t seem like a strong math person (don’t get offended, early pokemonic sends in advance), invalidating the whole argument…

“don’t get offended, early pokemonic sends in advance”

Huh?

I prob will do the same with auditing over the summer for calc since I have this horrible feeling deep down in the pit of my stomach that otherwise I will fail (not an option since my mom is math-crazy)
Last year I took Alg2 over the summer at a CC, and I have to say, it was the best experience I had so far in math. If you go to a crappy public like me, teachers are horrible…if I have a good teacher I can do well in math, but when I don’t, even when I study…:(. But the profs at CCs are much better than most teachers in HS

get a job at McDonalds
you’ll learn more
seriously

I’ve already got a part-time job for the summer, but I could fit in a Precal class in the morning.

So what are these “lecture”-type college math classes? Do you get to raise your hands in these type of classes, or does the teacher just keep lecturing on? Do you learn a lot in a short period of time in these classes?
