good idea to do signals/controls w/ math undergrad?

im now a sophomore ee and love my signals/controls class cuz i get to use lin alg, cplx analysis, + other fun math. but i rly dislike mosfets and will likely hate my digital design classes with its low level programming. i like theory much more than specific technology.

ive been thinking of just getting a math or applied math degree (way fewer required classes than engineering) and taking some ee controls/signals courses along the way. and maybe do ee for grad school.

or should i instead bite my teeth and suffer through my circuits and digital courses to get an actual ee degree which prolly looks better than a math degree. im prty realistic and i want a job. thanks all!

If you’re definitely going to go to grad school, it seems to me like it’d be better just to go get your math degree if it gives you a higher GPA and you’re better at it.
