Hello, I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if this thread isn't a good one. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone has an idea for a class chant for the class of 2017. For example, at my school...

2012= Class of Midnight (Because Midnight is at 12 o'clock)
2013= Class of Nightmare (Because Friday the 13th)
2014= Class of Cupid (Because Valentines day is on the 14th of February)
2015= Class of Famous (Because of the term "15 minutes of fame")
2016= Class of Diamonds (This one doesn't make much sense to me, but apparently there are 16 cuts in a diamond?)

Does that make sense? I'm a moderator for a FB page that helps the incoming freshmen to come up with a chant & was hoping I could get some ideas from here. Things to consider...
-Has to be 2 syllables
-Has to deal with the #17

Thanks for the ideas! I think class of music would be kind of cool. Any suggestions for a Saint Patricks day chant (since it’s on the 17th of march)

Might wanna fact check on the Beethoven one just in case! I think when I checked it said he wrote 16 quartets and another said 20, so I don’t know

Class of diamonds! <3
Me gewsta. And of course us diamonds shine brighter than all the other peeps- /shot
Kidding. All the other peeps have cool names too.

'17 could be… I don’t know… Class of girls? Cosmetics? [seventeen magazine]

I know what '18 could be. The class of swears, 'cuz 18 [pronounced shee-pal] is a swear word in korean LOL. But of course we’ll all pretend we mean the other def. of swears, i.e., vows.

Okay, I’ll check the Beethoven suggestion. And I think class of 2018 is more than likely going to be class of Freedom. 17 is just a tricky number i guess.

Since St. Patty’s day is on the 17th, how about the class of luck? Oh wait, that’s not two syllables. Okay, how about class of Irish?

Class of chlorine, because that’s the atomic number.
Class of consent, because in some stated, 17 is the magic number to have sex.
Class of unlucky, as Italians view 17 as an unlucky number.

For a serious one, how about:
Class of freedom, because 17 is the minimum age to be able to enlist, WWII bomber used a lot was the B-17, and also 17 gun salute used in the military.
