Good Interview Questions/Ways to Keep Conversation Rolling?

Hello! I have an interview for CMU this weekend, and I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas of questions I could ask the rep to keep conversation flowing? Some of the usual ones I use include:

What was your major and favorite class when you went to this school?
Would you say that this school has a more competitive or cooperative environment?
Can you explore areas outside of your major? (Since I want to go into engineering, but I’ve always wanted to take a college level art course)
What is something about this school’s culture that you think really sets it apart?

I was wondering if anyone else had some questions that they usually asked and that they think are good things to find out from the alumni representative?

Thank you so much!

I’d recommend trying: ‘Do you have any advice for me as a freshman at CMU?’
Also try asking them about any clubs/out of class activities they participated in. There’s a lot to do at CMU, and so I’m sure they’ll have stuff to talk about.

Those are good! Thanks!

Ask about buggy and carnival!

oo i think i heard about those vaguely. good question!
