Good looking people?

lol. i hear that umiami has like way good looking girls. how bout unc-chapel hill? or like Uva??

Penn State?

upenn apparently has the best looking girls in the ivys, and stanford is supposed to be all around attractive in the category of tier 1 schools.

I heard that Stanford girls are atrocious. Miami of Ohio has some of the best girls, Playboy voted it #1 in the Midwest and #2 in the nation. I can vouch for that too.

For some reason, Dartmouth has a bad rep! I think Dartmouth guys are sexy! ;) And the girls are are cute, too. I should know, I'm one of them! :)

Guys are just intimidated by Ivy League women because we're independent and don't fawn all over them!!

Here are some things to consider about UVa:

Michelle Kang ('99) was Miss Virginia in 1996.
Andrea Plummer ('00) was Miss New York in 2000.
Jessica Lynch ('00) was Miss New York in 2003.

Deidre Downs is the current Miss America. Deidre was an Echols Scholar & a member of the women's varsity volleyball team until she broke her hip and returned home to Alabama, where she finished her undergraduate degree at Samford.
http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~gjb2x/VirginiaVarsityVolleyball/deidre_downs.htm

I'm a member of the UVa/Yale Clubhouse of New York which also includes Dartmouth, and it's well known that the pretty girls at the Club are from UVa.

As I mentioned before, back in 1996, Abercrombie & Fitch toured around the country looking for schools to do photo shoots for their 1st catalogue. After visiting UVa and seeing the beauty of the Grounds and the student body, they chose to only do the shoot at Virginia, and they used 25 students as models.

wow. that is amazing!

Neelesh, yes you are shallow. I could guarantee you that there are beautiful people at every college. How can you pick a college based on how beautiful the people are? Thats the criteria a rapist would look for.

Ouch! Wow, that's pretty harsh.

Who said that i am picking a college based on how good looking people are? If you look at the original question, i said that it was a FACTOR(small one at that). If i am accepted to a place where i applied, i will not go there even if there are not hott people there.

Before you accuse me, why dont you base your arguement on some facts, instead of saying that i am shallow and that my criteria is one a rapist would look for. How do you know what a rapist looks for-unless you have experience in this. If you look at many rapists across the country that you can find information on, MOST of their victims were not one of the bests looking-instead, they were innocent people who seemed like an easy target to the rapist.

So get some hard facts before you accuse me.

Esrajay, who are you to make such claims about neelesh's character, with so little to support your assertions?

First, thanks Rmac2188.

second, typo..i mean to say that If i am accepted to a place where i applied, i WILL go there regardless of how people look there.

the naval academy has the hottest guys, yet i'm biased. They're some of the smartest and most athletic guys in the country, plus they have mandatory etiquette and ballroom dancing classes, hehe. They're such sweeties.

Esrajay, that you would even suggest a fellow CC'er is a rapist and would pick a college based on the appearance of the female students there is simply horrifying. First of all, neelesh clearly stated that he knew many CC'ers might criticize this thread as being "shallow" and he clarified he wasn't trying to be shallow. Secondly, he never said it was going to be his main criteria for picking a college.

Someone like you ought to be suspended from CC by making accusations like that - accusations based on no evidence and simply your own opinion. If you will argue that neelesh is a rapist, are you also saying that magazines (and their hundreds of thousands of readers) that publish articles such as "The Colleges with the Hottest Guys and Girls" are rapists and that they should be imprisioned? Are you, Esrajay, also saying that when college students discuss which frats and sororities have the best-looking guys and girls, that they too are rapists - when their harmless intention is to go to a frats' party with good-looking guys or go to a sororities parties with the good-looking girls? You could go on and on when people judge an organization based on the appearance of the members, as in this thread's case, a college's student body. Next time, don't post on someone's thread without using thinking in the first place and secondly, don't throw around a serious word such as 'rapist' around in such a care-free manner.

Caltech, definitely.

Firstly, I did not accuse neelesh of being a rapist. However, I did accuse him of being shallow. Stating that a factor of your college selection is how beautiful the students are is definately shallow.

"How do you know what a rapist looks for-unless you have experience in this. If you look at many rapists across the country that you can find information on, MOST of their victims were not one of the bests looking-instead, they were innocent people who seemed like an easy target to the rapist."

You obviously have more "experience in this" than I do.

Cash'd, you yourself are coming up with thoughtless accusations. There is a huge difference between selecting a college becuase of the women, and stating that a woman is beautiful. Choosing a college is one of the biggest decisions anyone makes in their life. To even consider how beautiful the students are is even more stupid than it is shallow.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE QUESTION ITSELF. The problem I have is that neelesh is using the question as a factor in his college selection. Neelesh, if you are actually as smart as you state, you would not base your choice on the question in this post.

Despite this, I do apologize for using the word rapist. Rapist is too strong of a word to use. Although I DID NOT call neelesh a rapist I may have implied this, and once again I am very sorry.

Esrajay, there are many factors that go into someone's decision to attend a school. Neelesh has the right to decide what factors determine his choice. Come on now. This is supposed to be a light-hearted thread.

let me ask the guys: what makes someone attractive to you personally? Why is someone else hot compared to someone else? It seems like everyone just likes blonde
s

first, I was just WONDERING which colleges had good looking people.

Second, i said that its a SMALL factor. If you read what i said,

"If i am accepted to a place where i applied, i will go there even if there are not hott people there."

that is exactly what i said, and what i mean.

Now, are you telling me that wanting to go to a place where there are good looking people is shallow? Tell me, how do people choose their wives/husbands?(not that i am or gonna anytime soon) Do the solely base it on personality, monetary value? NO. It is based ALOT/MOSTLY on these attributtes, yet, we are forgetting one thing: looks. People usually want to marry someone who is good looking, otherwise, why isn't everyone in the world fat, ugly? People try to make themselves look good for a reason, because they know that people will look at them more if they are better looking.

in other words it is not shallow to want to be around good looking people, and that most people want to be around them too. So if you are calling me shallow, you are calling ALOT(like a ton of the population of this world) of others shallow too.
