I like burnettes better.

for me someone is hot if they are confident about themselves, carry themselves well (meaning they take care of their appearance and body), and are fun to be around with.

Someone hott for me has good looks, a good personality, intelligent. Someone who does not have all of these attributes isn't HOTT, but they still can be hott. I would also prefer someone who likes to talk a lot like me. :-) because in school, i TALK a lot..i got voted most talkative by my entire school. lol

yeah, I never shut up!

hence my 635 posts

I hate to say it, but an abundence of attractive people often times = fake, superficial, uninteresting, unintelligent and mind numbingly one dimensional people. At these schools there are a lot of beautiful people, there is a lot of partying. It is fun for a while, but once the novelty wears off, you may find how little you have in common with these people who are overly concerned with looks and parties and will grow extremely bored with them.

That has to be the generalization of the year.

How about the Claremont Colleges?

RKATC... i take it you're not attractive then.

eek you high schoolers are vicious

OK, sorry. I know it was a horribly generalization. What I'm referring to is a large percentage of people in my HS, who will be going to ASU. OF COURSE I am not classifying ALL attractive people. That would be the most rediculous thing anyone has ever written. My point was that if you are looking for a school based on how attractive people are, you can find one, but it would be a mistake.

I'll admit that the only schools that I have ever really looked at are ASU and Harvard, so I'm relatively ignorant on the subject. But, from what I've seen, ASU has a huge amount of very good looking people, but a lot of them are not serious, poor students and are relatively one dimensional (not all, of course, just some). Whereas, Harvard isn't exactly known for the beauty of its student body, but everyone who attends the school are undeniably intelligent and intellectual.

Arizona (you should see this girl from my hometown that goes there...OMG!!!!!!!), Lehigh (I've never seen an exceptionally bad-looking person here, particularly the girls), Wisconsin (I know a few hot people that go there), UVA (see above, I rest my case!), UMiami (ditto), GW (lots of hot people)

--Sarai--

As a mom that has followed several offspring on their college searches all over the country, I was struck by the differences in appearance, or the care taken with appearance, among the campuses. Southern colleges, especially in Texas, Virginia and North Carolina, and Brigham Young had the most natural beauties, in my humble opinion; the southern California universities had the most unnatural beauties. As for the cold climate schools, I'd rank MIT high (also, my tall model-gorgeous daughter graduated from there!)

what makes someone attractive to you personally? Why is someone else hot compared to someone else? It seems like everyone just likes blondes
I myself prefer brunettes (like Kate Beckinsale or Emmy Rossum). Blondes are fine, but so is every other hair colour. Blonde is to women what height is to men, but at least hair colour is somewhat easy to change.

in terms of girls...to all you guys, it's all about california--esp. southern california (not that i'm biased or anything LoL) there are just so many gorgeous people it's ridiculous. to top it off, there's not a lot of the whole "east coast snobbery" happening. people in the east coast can have personalities that match the general climate, COLD! everyone here is so much more laid back and genuinely nice. (obviously there are going to be TONS of exceptions, but i'm speaking from a general perspective)

as for guys, i have always been impressed with southerners, namely TEXANS haha, in terms of looks AND manners LoL. Such hot guys and yet such polite gentlemen--not to mention a lot tend to share the same political views as me. so go UT, Texas A&M and SMU hehe.

sadly, i am not applying to any of those schools but i have friends that have already gotten in or are applying so now i have reason to visit :)!

also, neelesh or whoever the original poster was...i don't think it's bad at all to think about these things. college is more than just about academics---social life counts a LOT! and you want to be happy with the people you meet. LoL there are lots of married couples that met in college. this is not to say that finding "the one" should be a focus or anything like that---but i'm just saying it's nice to be in a place where you think the people are attractive from the onset, also where people look liek they are happy and having fun.

yes i do get turned off by a school if everyone looks like they are the type that have never left their rooms becuase they just study all the time.

do you want to know which school has the ugliest girl?

Berkeley 8)
ahh so true.... whenever my berkeley friends come back down to so cal and they see an average looking girl and say, "hey look at her!", we always joke and say, "still looking through your berkeley goggles?".

USC girls are hot especially during Spring semester ;). Sophia Bush (the actress from One Tree Hill) actually went to USC a year ago and honestly she is up there but not near the top. UCLA is right up there along with UCSB. San Diego St. girls are a different pretty, just eye candy and nothing more.

The school with the best looking girls and guys is the University of Georgia hands down. People say they visit Athens and never want to go home. Everyone is beautiful.

If you want hot, skinny blondes: USC, UCLA, UofA, ASU, U Miami (Fl).
Insanely attractive brunettes: NYU, BU, GWU

There is nothing wrong with wanting to pick a school with decently attractive people. In the college admissions search, you are trying to find a school that has a good feel to it. College is supposed to be the best four years of your life and if you go to a school flooded with ugly girls (ie. U of Chicago--see Tucker Max essay below) -- it may take away from your expierence. I go to Vandy and I love the balance between work and academics. UVA, Miami, and Tulane are similiar in respect that you will get a good education and enjoy yourself while you are doing it. The overall goal in life is to be happy and if that means going to a social campus with attractive girls, so be it.
