<p>Anyone else doing Emory Scholars as well as ED? Scholars was one of the factors that led to me deciding to apply ED. </p>
<p>And ED applicants, have you guys gotten letters from the Office of Admissions about your applications yet? I set up my account with OPUS, but it seems pretty useless. Are we supposed to do something with it?</p>

<p>OPUS is a super useful system that lets you register for classes, check which classes are open, view your transfer credits, etc. But this is all once you're at Emory. Right now, as applicants, all you can do is check on the status of your application (whether it has been received or not).</p>
<p>Whats the difference between that and learnlink?</p>
<p>OPUS is more administrative stuff. Learnlink is an integrated e-mail/calendar/messaging/conferencing system that is used much more widely. Some teachers use it for their classes to post announcements online or you can turn in assignments online to their conferences. Other organizations on campus use it (like clubs) and if you have a certain status (that Information Technology give you), you can create your own b.s. conferences for yourself and your friends, and can make it private. Learnlink is basically like Microsoft Outlook, but a million times better. It kinda sounds dorky but it's super useful and everyone is addicted to checking their LL.</p>
