Good luck to all applicants and their parents

3 years ago, we have no clue what was a prep school. Daughter wanted to apply, we knew one korean family whose both kids attended, therfore we looked at school with biggest endowments and applied without knowing anything

On March 10, results came, 1 rejection, 2 waitlists, 1 admission without much aid, 1 with a very generous financial aid

My hubby and I were apprehensive of her going to school, but since then have changed our opinion, she is flourshing there, and have become a self assuring person,

We find opportunities greatful and bountiful, exposure is awesome, and this year again applying for second kid. Good luck to everyone

Daughter went from being a math nerd, to one interested in humanities, even though she is doing extremely well in STEM. We talk more and life is very challenging and lot of sleep deprivation ,but will do it again in a heart beat if opprtunity is provided.

Bottom line all you need is one yes, Good luck to all and we will see what this year brings. Thanks again to educate me and answer our stupid questions

Thanks @infinityprep1234! This is a whole new world to us, too! Never knew anyone who went to boarding school…and I am very appreciative of everyone here who chimes in and helps guide us lesser-informed along!

I heard about boarding schools from a rich homeschooling friend’s high school age plan. But it never occurred to me that huge financial aid was available, albeit hard to get, until another friend told us last admission season. And now daughter is having a wonderful time at one. Good luck everyone.

Oh wow we are stunned at results, Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Oh wow this is awesome. This is hard to sink in that kid got accepted to so many good choices, we thought this was going to be a rough patch as our kid is ORM and last time it was pretty awful. We never ever thought this will happen in our wildest dream.

Are you going with the one with the generous financial aid? We also had acceptances without aid, acceptances with OK aid and one with a full 4 year scholarship. My daughter, (a freshman) my 3rd child but the only one who every attended boarding school because it was new to us. She is in her glory. Doing well academically and socially.

We will let our kid decide where the kid wants to attend. However if kid is still unsure, than we would love her to attend the prep school that has offered the very generous financial aid.

So happy for you. Thanks
