Good luck to all CCC to UC transfers...

for me, 8 semesters is way too long to be surrounded by kids who still think they're in high school...I dropped out for a reason. I can't wait to be in upper-division classes! YAY UC!

I want to wish all of you guys the best of luck! I went through this last year, and I promise all of you that life at a 4 year is much more enjoyable than it is at the CC level. All your hard work will pay off!

allena, I sure hope so. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to get into my first choice. If I do not, I won't know what to do with my life.

• Being Scholars certified could make the difference between being admitted and not being admitted to UCLA, particularly if your GPA is between 3.0-3.5. We are offering more classes than ever before; take advantage of this opportunity to fully participate in a great program with an outstanding transfer record.

Nikkei--why that attitude? ALL the UCs are great universities.

now we play the waiting game. Can't wait till this year is over.

gabew42, you are right. It is just that I am spoiled. ;)

"it is weird......why is my heart still racing? I'm glad to hear someone else has spent eight semesters in community college. I'm 22 and I'm the oldest person in all of my classes!"

They should put a cap on the amount of years you can spend at a CC prior to transfer as anyone can seriously take really light loads and get straight "A's". When they transfer into UC where the quarter system rules all and its not as easy as your typical CC, these "five-year plan" students will get blown out the waters...

I dont blame you. UCLA is a great school, and I can imagine how much you want to get in ( I feel the same way). As dumb as this will sound I"m going to apply to 3 schools, if i dont get into any, im dropping out!

That's not a good plan, Jacko.

I agree, but I feel that I did my best, and if doing my best isn't enough then im better off not wasting anymore time.

Ooooojacko, what are you stats?

Major
GPA
CCC
ECs

My susgestion guys is to try and realx and forget about it... I know it won't happen (March 1st rolled around and I checked daily) but life would have been better not stressing over it.

It's going to be even worst when Spring session starts because I'll be working at an office job. That, of course, means that I'll be checking almost everyday. sigh

Nikkie my stats are a 3.5 as of now, but no honors program. Im a poli sci major, and have a few EC's but the best being 20 hours week internship at a law office. I applyed to UCLA and UCB, Im gona apply to USC and thats it. USC and UCLA I figure i have like a 50/50 chance. As for Berkeley, I want to believe in miracles! (Ive also completed all pre reqs for my major with A's)

Yeah; you have a decent chance at UCLA for sure. And yeah, as you know, the social sciences are extremely competitive at Berkeley (22% admit rate).

"Nikkie my stats are a 3.5 as of now, but no honors program."

You're screwed. A TAP program could have helped you distinguish yourself from the crowd.

Ooooojacko, you have a decent chance for UCLA. Not sure about CAL. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck. I hope ALL of us poli sci majors get in.

Thanks you too nikkie!
