In the last few months through this forum we have gotten to know some of you. The excitement of unmentionable D school's announcement last night has made everyone on this board very nervous for today's result. It seems like just yesterday when my daughter was going through this process (my heart is pounding as I am typing). No matter what the result is for you tonight, all of you should be very proud of all you have done. Cornell or any school should be honored to have you as part of its community. Just remember your family and friends are there for you, and many of us on this board also.

Good luck everyone, and just remember: do not let this decision define you. You, as individuals, are so much more than the college you go to. Whether you go to Cornell, or any of the other great colleges out there, best of luck!

Yes. Please don't place more weight on this decision than what it is worth. What you do in your day to day life is much more important than whatever school you end up attending.

That being said, I suspect quite a few of you will become Cornellians this evening. Congratulations!

Guys: Thanks so much for your support throughout the last few months and today. It's been awesome going on CC and talking about our favorite subject, Cornell. You guys are so intelligent and so interesting to talk to, and you've all made my CC experience the amazing thing that it is.
(and dewdrop, thanks for the med school advice :))

EDers: GOOD LUCK TONIGHT! I HOPE WE ALL GET IN!

Dewdrop: haha I just got an email from Tulane about the dean scholarship, and the person mentioned that it was snowing and they were making snowmans like in Minnesota.
