As the international decisions are soon to be made... i just want to say the same things in matt's blog... first off, good luck to all.. and don't be depressed if you do not get accepted... mit is very very very very very very very (did i miss one?) hard to get into for ANY internationals, even for those with olympiad medals (a silver medal from IPHO i know got rejected)... so, just hope we somehow get lucky... and as matt said, i'm sure all of us who have the ambition to apply to MIT as internationals( while knowing the tough competitions we face) will all be very successful in the future no matter which school we get into... so, peace... we're all here to share your joy if you get in.. or your pain if you do not... you're not alone...

Good luck internationals! I hope MiT admissions finds the most fair and balanced way to find the most qualified of you all...because given the super high standards (harder than to get into HYP for an American), it seems like splitting hairs.

I hope the stalwart CCers do especially well!

Heh good luck to the rest of internationals applying too! I swear I will faint with joy if a DHL package comes. But ugh. What an unlikely dream=( 2 more weeks!!!

Thanks, pw! It's actually a bit funny considering your ID, but hey ;)

"i'm sure all of us who have the ambition to apply to MIT as internationals( while knowing the tough competitions we face) will all be very successful in the future no matter which school we get into... "
this is quoted from Princetonwannabe, it is the ultimate truth, proverb, ahhhhh!!!!
best of luck to everyone, im international, love you all.

hehe I wish u guys luck too :P 13 days .... :P

can't believe it's only two weeks away... I'm already soo nervous... good luck to y'all

LOL add 4 days to that because of the time taken for Mr Postman to deliver packages

i think 2 days - it always takes 2 days for mail to come to my house

can't we find out our decision online this year?

it said on the website they don't do that...

oh. sucks :( i was expecting to find it out online.. so i don't have to anticipate it forever..

Good luck to you all! Each of us really needs a lot of it.

Here's my countdown:

If accepted :): 16 days (DHL)
If denied :(: 24 days (you know, it takes 10 days for regular mail from the US to reach me)

Did I understand properly
"Accepted" letters arrive with DHL(that is around 3 days form USA)
"Rejected " letters arrive with regular post ( that's 2 weeks maybe)

That's right! (:

let's all do a group hug, shall we? :D

;)

huddles

sniffs in the middle

Fellow International Applicants....

It takes a whole lot of courage to apply to MIT and I am sure that all of us will be successful in any of our endeveours (mispell) in the future. That being said, I just wanted to jump into this forum and wish you all the best. I am an international too, but I am currently studying in the US, so I wont be receiving any DHL, but a priority mail enevelop.

A last word on hope. A quote from the book "The Alchemist" says:

"When a person truly wants something with all of his hear the entire universe will conspire to make it happen"

hang in there

(p.d. i am an intl. student originally from Panama)

Oh yeah I read that book - let's see what "omens" come our way=)
