<p>I remember my feelings one year ago. I had applied for MIT regular action, and the day of the decision was something really strange. I think many of you now experience these feelings.
I just wanted to say good luck to everybody. Please don't worry too much if you don't get in (and especially not when you're deferred). I know it's depressing, and for some it will seem like the end of the world. Well, it's not. I didn't get accepted last year. MIT has been my dream since my early childhood. I am from Europe, and MIT really stood for much more than just college - it was in some way also the idea of the American Dream. Well, I got over it. It's not going to kill you. No matter what happens, you're going to learn from it, grow and and be more mature at the end. And most importantly, you'll still love MIT :). Last weekend, a Harvard interviewer told me something I found really important: "It doesn't matter where you end up, after all. The most important thing is one's attitude: walking through the world with open eyes and a never-ending curiosity, that's what really matters."</p>
<p>I just thought that this might be helpful for some.
Again, good luck. And if you don't have this luck, cry for the next few days (I'm serious). Then, however, get up and tackle the next challenge.</p>
