With the application deadline fast approaching, I would like to say Good Luck!! to all Yale SCEA applicants.

I went through this with my D last year and I know how difficult the process is, from selecting your EA school, preparing the Common App, writing your essays, securing your rec. letters, and so on. Remember you will get through this, hopefully successfully, but regardless, in the end you will be accepted at and attend the school that is the right one for you.

The next 45 days will be nerve-wracking, but will pass quickly. Just keep working on your other applications and live your life as fully as possible. Senior year of high school is supposed to be fun.

One last thing, be prepared to check the Admissions web site on the afternoon of December 14th.

I really can't believe I'm applying to college...it's all very surreal, but all I can do is sit back and let the admissions officers decide! Eek

Good luck to everyone who applied SCEA! I applied about two weeks ago, and that's really been a load off my shoulders. Just remember that lots of well-qualified students are rejected, though, so don't worry and enjoy the next month and a half without stressing about whether you will be judged worthy by the admissions panel. If you are accepted, wonderful! If you are rejected, you ARE NOT a failure in life. Again, good luck to all!
