Good Lunch Places near UCSD?

So I have an interview w/ a retired doctor and we're meeting for lunch. What's a good place for lunch that's close so I can take a shuttle or bus (I don't have a car)? I'm looking for someplace casual and not too expensive (since I'm almost broke x__x). Also, the person I'm meeting didn't specify what kind of food he likes.

Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza in the Costa Verde shopping center.

Elijah’s at the square with CVS and Whole Foods. Its located behind the verizon store. You should be able to take the 201 or 202 also

If you can get to downtown Del Mar, El Fuego has the best mexican food I’ve ever eaten and it costs about the same as Chipotle but is more sit down.

Croutons in La Jolla Village Square (soups, salads, sandwiches, etc)

Best bet nearby is Regent’s Pizza off Regents road just east of campus. Take the Mesa Housing shuttle or the 202 and you can get off fairly close by and walk.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try Croutons for now.

I was right about to second Regent’s Pizza. Only place I’ve had consistently good deep dish.
