<p>OP, usually a food science major will be offered at public land grant universities in their colleges of agriculture. The least expensive option will be the land grant university in your home state. Every state has one. I would recommend that you check out the requirements for food science majors at your state’s land grant university and any others that interest you and that you can afford. Math requirements for this degree usually include statistics and 1 or 2 semesters of calculus, depending on the particular school.
