I don’t want to apply to more than 8 schools. I live in NH and know that I can get accepted to UNH as well as receive a quality education from there. How many reach schools and good match schools should I be looking for? Is it too much to apply to 3 reach schools?
Without stats we cant chance you.
I saw your test on your last post. I’d apply to test optional schools, since your SAT is just above average.
If you’re limited to eight schools, I’d say pick one or two reaches.
What can your family afford?
okon2122 and newjerseygirl98, my family makes about 140,000 but we have an unusually high amount of medical expenses.

I want to double major in cognitive science and political science, and go to a good enough school that I will be able to get into law school. Like I said before, UPenn is my dream college. I also plan to apply to JHU, MIT, UMichigan, Vassar, and Lehigh. In my essays I think I want to stress the influence CTY had in my life. It really shaped me as a person, because I come from a very small area and over the summer I met people from all over the world and really expanded my views on national and global issues. Another essay topic I’ll probably use is the impact that my mom’s MS diagnosis has had on me, because as her disease progresses, I have to take a lot of the responsibility in my family.
Thank you in advance, I hope you can help! Oh and I skipped the 7th grade.
Might look at Holy Cross-very good school and HC meets 100% demonstrated financial need. Holy Cross also has great alumni network.
