Getting recommendation letters from AP Lang teacher (only writes good letters), AP Calc teacher (she really knows my talent and I feel like she can write a good one), Physics H teacher (performed well in classroom, and he's a track official so he sees my character outside of the classroom too), and Latin III, IV, and AP teacher (had her for two, going to have her for three years, we're close and she sees my talent.)

Well thanks for reading all of that, anyone think of a good match for me?

Just to clarify, I’m probably going to stay close to NJ, so I guess just CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT.

High Reach: Dartmouth
Low Reach: NYU, Cornell, Hopkins
Match: Trinity, Maryland, Marist
Low Match/Safety: UConn
safety: UDel, Sacred Heart

those were just a few I thought of! I’ll try to think of more, haha

100 years of volunteering, huh? ;)

Yeah I’d utilize the summer and get like 300-400 hours of volunteering ^^^^^

But ATM, you’re in good shape for most of top 25 schools (excluding HYPS and Dartmouth, that’s like, eggs; and UC’s hate outofstaters)

Ivies I’d definately try Cornell, possible UPenn if you get 2200-2300 SAT’s

JHU, CMU, UChicago, etc. are all in reaches. Have fun and hope I get something like this

Oh wow, sorry I meant 100 hours :stuck_out_tongue: yeah that’s what I really need to work on I think, just get the volunteering hours up. And my goal is to get my SATs into 2200, if not cracking 2300 barrier so that’s good that my goals line up with what you guys are saying. Thanks so much runinthesun and HONORLIONS.

Lol just noticed 100 years of volunteering.

I know that runinthesun said NYU would be a low reach, but does anybody have any other opinions on NYU?

Lol yeah, that should be one of your upper level backups.
IT’s like a match-low reach

what are some reach schools, match schools and safety schools?

Start your own!

I live on the other side of the country, so I don’t know too many schools in your region.

But I definitely think you’re good for NYU. Reach for Carnegie Mellon. For Ivies, I’d say you should apply to Cornell at least because I think you have a pretty good chance there. You could try Penn too.

Other than that…I’m not sure. As I said before, not too familiar with East Coast schools besides the Ivies.

I think runinthesun is on the ball
I assume you’ll study Math (because of Diff Eq’s), Physics (like Math + PHYS teacher rec), or the Humanities (due to the Latin record)
