Hello CC, I am going to be a sophomore in high school this coming year and I will be doubling up in math, Geometry and Algebra II. I am a little worried if I will do well, so I was thinking about reading some good books on these two courses to understand the basic concepts. I am asking if there are any good books for geometry or algebra II to help me? It would be awesome to have some great discussion in the books so I can pick the absolute best to help me. Thank you in advance.
Thanks! They look like really good books. I might order the intermediate geometry one. Any other suggestions for an Algebra II one?
I’ve heard Barron’s Algebra II book is good, but what do you think?
The Alg 2 one is called intermediate alg, they also have the effect of contest math prep, if you want to go into that,
Oh, thank you. I will probably order the intro to geometry one then get the intermediate alg. one after. Are the books pretty straight forward on teaching you?
The books make you think, but it builds solid foundation
Aops is great. Cliffnotes has a good Algebra II book. It’s small, handy, and very to-the-point. Also includes all the formulas on a nice little sheet.
Thank you. Does amazon got them?
Are they more of a review type book or can you actually learn from them?
Aops is heavily learning based and Cliffnotes is a mixture of learning and review. I guess it depends how much explanation/practice you need in order to learn for Cliffnotes.
