So I plan on majoring in marketing, but I am not quite sure on what a good minor would be. I’ve seen that statistics would be a good minor to hold up my major. I’ve also seen computer science and international business. Anyways, I was wondering what you all would think would be a good minor for a marketing major? Or do you personally think a minor is useless, rather a double major would be better? Also, I would like to work in the PR industry if that helps narrow down some minor options; as of now, I love the event planning aspect and PR in general. This would be advice given to me, but I’m also curious to know what you all personally think. Thanks!
Any of the above? A minor is only useful if it teaches you useful skills or complements your major in some way as to enhance your profile. A marketing major with a statistics minor would be pretty useful in market research and market analytics, for example. A marketing major with a CS minor could be useful for online marketing/market research solutions.
It’s kind of just up to you and where your interests lie.
