I now only have one college I am interested in going to (Slippery Rock University) because all my other schools apparently don't have good music education programs. Does anybody happen to know any schools with good music Ed programs in PA? If I need to I can look out of state, but I would prefer to stay in state. I did look into NYU a little and then laughed at myself :p but anyway if anybody has any suggestions of schools feel free to let me know!

Look at West Chester…

You may want to post this on the music major forum as well.

Millersville, Gettysburg, Penn State University Park, Temple, West Chester, Lehigh all have good music programs, although not conservatory level. CMU has a conservatory level program. But as for music ed, if you’re looking for a state college, Millersville or West Chester would be fine choices.

This is the place to go for music ed. None of the schools you mentioned has a group remotely comparable to this. I know, I play in this band. And I have been to all the schools you mentioned when I was applying (and yes I got in). This is why they are Incomparable!
