Good Music Schools That Aren't Hard to Get Into

A few buddies of mine who would like to pursue music but are not of a caliber to go to a top music school are looking for some good music schools that aren't hard to get into

Any particular instrument and/or part of the country?

no regional limitations(from dfw...most kids go out of state anyways), theyre choir guys

St. Olaf admits 73% of its applicants overall and the choir program there is superb.

i was actually talking bout admitted after auditions

I have heard that their post-audition admit rate is over 50% for males, if by "choir guys" you meant tenors and basses.

They may also wish to have a look at Susquehanna.

Almost every large State U offers music degrees including vocal performance. College search engines or even google can be used to identify hundreds of possibilities. Trying to rank individual schools or decide which ones are "good" is all but impossible. Anyone who wants to do music at a good, but non-selective school should think really hard about future career options. If they want to consider jobs in music performance, there are few openings and they will need to compete with the conservatory graduates including a large number of students from the conservatory graduate programs.

susquehannas is selingsgrove right? my family lives all over that area in sunbury and milton
