What exactly does "need blind admissions" mean...because the other day I received contact from one of the colleges I wanted to go to saying that they were missing part of my financial aid info. A friend of mine told me this might be good news because they don't even look at financial aid stuff until after they decide to accept me, since they claim to be "need blind." I know they can't possibly look at financial stuff from ALL applicants, but I think they probably organize all the financial stuff and make sure it is there regardless of your admit status before they make a decision...Either way, I would have expected them to ask me about this other info earlier on, like a month or two ago...

need blind admissions means that they dont look at ur financial situation. If ur good enuf, u get admitted... Like some schools arent meanig that even if ur the best applicant there and have no money, u wont get admitted...

And call the college about the missing stuff...

depending on the college, i'd say it's just a common procedure to try to get all financial forms from everyone, even if it is need blind. if you checked off that you would be applying for financial aid, then they're going to expect to receive financial papers from you.

financial aid runs independent of the admissions office. they need to have all the info by the time decisions are made so that IF you are admitted they can tell you what your award would be. They can't wait for the adcoms to make decisions and then scurry around and do all the work before the decisions are sent. So the work goes in parallel.
