College is for education, churches are for religion. If you want to get a good educational experience why not try a non-religious school and get a different perspective on the world. I promise you that the athiests won't beat you up in the bathroom or force their heathen beliefs on your precious souls.

Well, so far in my college career I have de converted 6 people. Some of us will make people lose their faith for the lulz.

uhhhhhh, how about no one will snatch them out of my hands
orrrrrrrrrr, i pray not to take them out of the world
hmmmmm, ya don't put a candle under a bushel - let your light shine
---------> you ARE the light, no?
is the objective to be the living epistle among the "heathen" or to retire to a monastic life via "Christian" school?

We visted Oklahoma City University last week and really enjoyed it. It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. They have optional weekly chapel, 6 hours of required religion classes, and it's a dry campus. (By contrast, Tulsa-which is loosly affiliated with the Presbyterian Church-has no required religion classes and is a wet campus if you're old enough.)

By the way, we also visited Abilene Christian and the word I came away with was also "creepy." The campus was lovely and everyone was nice as can be. But when most Christian students who are not of that denomination have themselves re-baptised while they are there (to avoid hell), that fits the bill as creepy to me.

A friend of mine from high school went to Montreat (I had never heard of it) while I went off to Stanford. We both saw each other in graduate school at UCLA where she was getting a Ph.D. in public health. I know each of these schools that I list above does an excellent job of preparing their students for Ph.D. work in non-religious affiliated educational institutions.

I would think a perusal of the cccu website would give you lots of options that would likely satisfy the parents of your friend.

P.S. Her SAT scores are a weakness. Agree she should retake them. I don't know if those SAT scores would get her into Wheaton or Westmont.

Have read much on this BB about Grove City College, which is not a member of the above association.

When you say Christian, would you include Catholic? Cause BC is run by the Jesuits who are really intellectually excellent and very open minded.
