Good novels to use on AP Lit

I need a 4 to skip out of intro English, and since I'm generally horrific at critical reading, I hope to make it up by writing those 8 or the perfection 9 essays. I'm pretty good at prose and poetry explication, but literary works suck because I never remember the characters and minor (yet "very relevant") details.

Suggest some novels and their main characters for the exam tomorrow to refresh our memories..

I was thinking:
C&P -Raskolnikov, Sonya (lover), Dunya (sis), Svidrigailov (boss), Razumikhin (friend), Petrovich (Officer), Luzhin (greedy dude), Pulcheria (mom) - Alienation, Nihilism, Extraodinary man, Self punishment

Kite Runner - Amir, Hassan (friend), Assef (nazi/rapist/homo), Baba (dad), Ali (friend's dad) - Resilience, Strength of character, inhumanity, loyalty, devotion

Doll's House (god forbid we write about another feminist crap essay) - Nora, Torvald (husband, treats nora like kid, douche), Krogstad (sympathetic/hypocrite), Christine (friend, strong woman), Dr. Rank (chill/doesnt care) - women's sacrifice, obligations, freedom

Search before you post. Honestly, Sparknotes would provide a better review than would be possible in this thread.
