good pc games

Warhammer: Dawn of War is a great RTS game. Ive played Rise of Nations and Warcraft, but the whole futurstic thing with lasers and religious fanatics just makes Dawn of War so much cooler.

Two words:

Civilization IV

If you are intersted even the slightest in world history, that is the game for you without a doubt. If anyone on this site considers buying it, talk to me so maybe we can play together, or even start a small Civ4 CC club, lol.

Has anyone tried GUNZ yet?? Geez thought people would be all over it. It is FREE.

i have it on my computer, and i tried to play but it wouldnt let me login. I think i might have to make a new id.

I used to play SC/BW which were both really good games...

D2X had my addicted for about 3 years, even with all the dupes, hacks, etc...Old game but still one of the best methinks

Played GW (borrowed from a friend). I enjoyed the parts that I played at least...Didn't do any GvG so I didn't get to experience the full game :/

CS was a great game. Time-consuming and sometimes repetitive, yet very enjoyable. Never played HL2/CS:S, sadly. Graphics looked real good and not sure about the rest.

GB didn't last that long with me.

RoseOnline didn't either.

I stay away from WC/WoW, dunno why. WoW is pay per play.

Still waiting for D3/SC2, lol!

well i'd certainly like to play gunz... too bad it wont let me connect to the servers (they always say theyre full or that it can't be accessed)

OMGItsCollege,

WoW may be ~$15 a month, but in the long run you end up saving money because you really only end up playing WoW.

Besides, it's worth it. :-)

World of Warcraft is arguably the best game on the market right now.

For some reason I never got into WarCraft. I've heard lots of good thing about it and I'm sure it's good. But I think the main reason i never got WoW in the first place is pay-for-play. My parents are against games, and on top of that, you have to pay monthly which my parents won't approve of...So i just stick with what I got. :/

Same reason why I borrowed GW from a friend...It was free :/

Half Life 2 (OMG - The Best FPS I have ever played!!!)
Rome Total War (No. 1 RTS)
Diablo 2/Baldurs Gate 2 (The Best RPG's)
World of Warcraft (Best MMORPG)
Tony Hawks 3 (Best sports simulators)
NFS Underground 2/NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (Best Driving)
Black and White (Best God game - but I haven't played BW 2 yet!!!)

Also, Favourite Classics:
Metal Gear Solid (Playstation version - anyone remeber this? In my opinion, the best game ever made!)
Theme Hospital
Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2
Quake 2
Theme Park!!!

I would have to agree with nameless, the industry seems to be lacking! All that get's churned out these days is polished versions of last years games - nothing original!

painkiller!!!!!! (for those who wants old-style FPS with awesome graphics and engine and replayability)

HL2 is still the bst though. i preferred dungeon keeper 1 over 2

OMGItsCollege,

Don't worry, you'll be out of the house soon enough. Then, nobody can tell you what to do with your money.

UCLAri:

lol, that's true. But then I have to get a job, earn money, etc... :/

But do UCs allow their students to use internet to play games? (I'm assuming you go to UCLA or something).

Graduated.

Yeah, of course.

Ic...lucky, lol. Apps are due this month...But still having trouble with personal statements! I'm basically going for UCSD, :).

And I'm guessing the "Yeah, of course" was referring to the internet-games. That's good.

If you decide to buy the Sims, well, there's not much you can do with it. It gets old fairly quickly and the expansion packs that have been released are overrated and dull. There have been challenges on the Sims forums that involve creating long-standing families and so on and so forth - however, that's not saying much when you consider that the opportunities are still one-dimensional, closed, and rigid.

$0.02.

(Also, be careful with a lot of these games! They will eat up your time!)

The ones I play are mainly online games:
Maple Story Global
Gunzonline (it's really fun!)
Gunbound (it's more of a been there, done that kinda thing)

dudeeeeeeeee why can't i play gunz?!?!?! it never lets me play! everyone says it's so awesome, and I'd like to be involved in the awesomeosity

Call of Duty!
Call of Duty: United Offensive!

Call of Duty 2!

Get Call of Duty 2 now that it's out. It's even better than the original. Single player and multi player are both awesome.

I saw a commercial for Call of Duty 2. Graphics look crazy.

But I prefer PC games...with one exception: Zelda: Twilight Princess. Been waiting....they said release date = nov 2005 or somehting and now it's 2006.
