I was wondering if anybody could help me at all with identifying colleges and univerisities with good political science programs. I really have a passion in that area. Any help will be appreciated! :)

Do a search on political science programs--this has come up repeatedly. I don't mean to be rude, but it would be more beneficial for you to do such.

I didn't even think to do that! Thanks!

The Ivy League, Stanford, Duke, MIT, Williams Amherst Swarthmore, Georgetown SFS I think, add some more but thats a solid list

look into georgetown

I thought that Georgetown had bad political science, just good international relations.

Anisky, I would not go as far as saying that Georgetown is "bad" in Political Science. It is actually a decent program. However, it is not one of the top 30 programs. People often confuse IR with PS. The two have similarities, but they are no more alike than Economics and Business or Physics and Engineering. If the OP is purely interested in Political Science, then I agree that Georgetown probably isn't worth looking at. however, if the OP is indefferent between IR and PS, then Georgetown is certainly worth looking into.

Dana_Scully, thethoughtprocess gave you a good list, but I would add three programs that he forgot to list. They are Cal-Berkeley, Michigan-Ann Arbor and Chicago. All three are considered top 5 programs in the field of Political Science, and they are not quite as hard to get into as some of their peers.

HYPSMD, Georgetown, Claremont McKenna, Berkeley, Tufts

any school in DC (GW, American, Georgetown, etc.)

Because so many of the other schools will get echoed, i would just like to repeat: Claremont McKenna. You will get so much personal attention, and you will get a great education in Poli Sci. Good luck getting into a lot of these schools, though; you have mostly difficult ones on your list.
