I'm looking for some new schools to broaden my search; I don't really care where in the US it's located. I'd like a relatively large school (5,000+)..the bigger, the better.
I have a 1910 SAT score, really good extracurriculars (yearbook editor, speech & debate national qualifier, 200+ hours of community service, etc.), and a 91 unweighted/98 weighted GPA.

My prospective list so far is
Rice
UCLA
Northwestern
Berkeley
Carnegie Mellon
UCSD
SUNY Stony Brook
McGill
Purdue
Penn State
Ohio State
Davis
UMaryland
JMU
Wisconsin-Madison
Franklin & Marshall
Urbana Champaign

Are there any other schools that people would suggest for premed/cogsci/neurosci? The premed program is the most important. Thanks!

F&M could be a good choice for you. Good pre-med rep and advising. In addition, very good psych department. However, it’s smaller than you are looking for - about 2,100 students.

How much will your parents pay each year? If you don’t know ask.
**
If your parents won’t pay full freight, then you need to take off most/all of the OOS publics on your list because they won’t be affordable.**

If you are out of state for these schools and your parents won’t pay all costs then these schools will be unaffordable. These schools cost $35k-45k per year for an OOS student.

Purdue
Penn State
Ohio State
UMaryland
Wisconsin-Madison
Urbana Champaign

If you’re not instate for Calif, then take those schools off unless your parents will pay for them.

What is your SAT breakdown? If your M+CR SAT is high enough then there might be some OTHER schools that would offer you scholarships.

Once we know your financial situation and know your M+CR SAT, we can recommend some schools for you.

Thankfully, there are many, many schools that are good for pre-med.

Replace Penn State and CMU with Pitt or Penn for premed/neuroscience. Drop JMU. You can’t go wrong with any of the UC schools on your list. UCLA, UCSD, and Cal are all excellent.

I’d also look at University of Washington, Washington University in St. Louis, Case Western, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, and Duke, depending on where your final stats end up.
