Good pre-med programs in non-ivy universities!!!

Let's start up a post with contributions about pre-med or science related programs that are good at universitites that aren't ivy like. Please include state schools as well and explain your selection if you want (i'd like to apologize if this idea was already started. if it already did, will someone direct me to that thread? so i can go there and end this one? THANKS)

My personal selectioN:

John Hopkins, great med school, but also good undergrad, with great research opportunities

Wesleyan, liberal arts, good scicence programs, but limited research opportunities on campus

Penn State, good chemistry program, lots of funding, lots of research opportunities on campus

keep the list going...

GotCollege? sorry to hijack your thread but....does anyone know if NYU is good for premed preparation?

NYU pre-med here: the classes are very good, and the advising is spot-on.

What about Emory's pre-med program?

so do you think that attending brown university will give me an edge to be in a better med school? or should i go with something less such as carleton and macalester of minnesota?
