I'm a sophomore and I want to know what are the Best money worths prep books for SAT and ACT. And what is a good online website to buy it from cause I heard online is way cheaper. And any other tips is a plus.

Another question is what prep books are good for AP World History. And what is generally a good brand. ex princeton, barrons?

I found that it didn’t have enough practice tests so I also borrowed the PR Cracking the ACT from my public library. But the PR’s science section at least is way off so I wouldn’t worry about what you get on the science section of the PR. I would only get PR if you run out of tests from the Real ACT book. If it has enough tests for you, don’t bother getting the PR book.

EDIT: @RedDagger That google search wasn’t particularly helpful. There are millions of books that claim to be the best. For example, PR was the second result. While it might not be bad, it is most certainly not the best book you can buy for the SAT.

Yep. For the SAT, get the one from college board and for the ACT get the one from ACT. For AP World History, I heard Princeton Review’s book was good. If you wanted to over-prepare for the World Hist. test I guess you could read Barron’s as well. But, honestly, I’d stick with just PR for the AP World History.

I bought the College Board SAT book, and I have liked it so far. I have yet to take the sAT (I can’t attest to its success), but I have heard that it is the best (as others pointed out).

Why would it risk their credit cards? Its secure, trust me. I’ve used amazon about a million times by now and nothing like unauthorized charges have happened because of amazon. But your local bookstore (Barnes & Noble, Borders…) should have/be able to order the books for you if you don’t want to buy them online. But they will be more expensive at your local book store.

before you buy anything, go to your local library and check out what they have. Mine has Barrons, Real ACT, and basically every Collegeboard one they make. Some of them are from like 2007 but really, how much has changed? My plan is to go there once a week, borrow one of the books, and take 1 of the timed tests. Why waste money buying when you can do it for free?
