Hello, can anyone recommend me some great prep books for AP Literature?
I would like to self-study for the exam.
Thanks!

How about actually reading literature?

I believe that was not the point of my question…

invisible man, heart of darkness, etc.

any book from this list that has appeared a lot, which means it’s most suited for a variety of prompts

I teach it, and they’re right. Start on the college board site and review all the old prompts. Remember the test is a third poetry - make sure you cover that. Have someone else grade sample essays for you - check with your AP Lit teacher, I’d you have one at your school. Read widely, and add Foster’s How to read literature like a professor - it is very simplistic, but good for self-study.

@sakacar Thank you for your advice.

@luminousBrink Thanks for your suggestion!

I took the Litt test in June, the hardest part is the poems. You need to get used to the language and old English. Also any reading of any style you read during the summer to prepare you wiill help
