Is 1050(75th percentile) a good score for a sophomore

It’s useless to ask if a certain score is good for a sophomore because you could get something wildly different next year (when it actually matters). It’s also useless to ask if a score is good, period. “Good” is subjective and varies from person to person. For my (admittedly high) standards, it is not a great score for a sophomore (and even more so for a junior). My standards may be different from others’.
Gonna be honest with you, that is not good if you want your PSAT score to help you in the college process.
For sophomore, aim for 1250, but don’t worry this year is not the one that matters, next year try to get 1450, a 1450 would generally qualify you to run for national merit, which if you become a semifinalist or finalist would help you BIG time in scholarship and college application
This year I didn’t study since I didn’t know the importance of the test so i will definitely do more practice tests thanks for the advice
Its a good improvement from your freshman year though.
Don’t compare you score with others. Just try to improve from last year. As a reference, a score about 1400 typically is seen as good enough to become National Merit Commended, 1450 for semifinalist etc.
Sophomore year PSAT is really to just get us used to the SAT style tests and make our SATs as go as smooth as possible. What you should focus on now is growth. I got a 1290 on my last PSAT, but I didn’t show much improvement from last year (freshman year), so my overall score probably won’t help me much on the SAT unless I am able to improve my performance. You showed significant growth from Freshman to Sophomore year, that’s a good sign. Khan Academy has helped a lot of my friends improve their scores, it may help you as well.
