In this upcoming week, I'm going on three college visits. Since I'm a junior, these will be my first college visits, and I'm not really sure what I should be asking. Obviously, there is so much to find out about the colleges, but what would be the best questions to make sure I ask while visiting?

To me, I would just want to take in the whole atmosphere at this point. The questions are mostly answerable by the the college websites. Take notes after each visit, and photos also. This will help you remember everything with more detail, This can get muddled after several college visits. Enjoy yourself!

Do not ask questions that can be answered by a quick search of the college website or viewbook. E.g. At Boston College, do not ask where the engineering buildings are (there are none). At NYU, do not ask where students can park their cars (they can’t) At Georgetown, do not ask why there are crucifixes throughout the building etc.

If you’re seriously considering a school, it might be relevant to ask about little logistical things, even if they don’t seem important right now. (The only example I can think of at the moment is semester bus passes, because I have to take public transportation to school every day and my college has $25 semester bus passes that make it way cheaper than it would be otherwise.)
