So I've had a boyfriend since February of sophomore year. Both last year and this, we've been in most of each others' classes, since we're both honors/AP students. Only now, at the end of my junior year, is it beginning to occur to me that this may reflect poorly in my teacher recommendations. We both pay attention and get A's/A+'s, but once in a while (like if we're watching a movie in class) we'll hold hands or something during class. It's pretty obvious to teachers that we're dating, and I'm pretty sure they can even tell when we're fighting just by the weird vibes going on and all that. No teacher has ever expressed a problem with it (at least not verbally and not that I've noticed), but do you think they might throw something in on a recommendation that I get distracted due to a romantic interest (because on days when we're fighting, I DO tend to space out a little), or will they mainly focus on my academic merit?

I wouldn't worry about it...seriously.

One would assume high school teachers would be understanding of these things. It does not reflect negatively on your character. You should be fine.

I think you'll be fine as well.
