Will a 740 in reading and a 580 in math significantly reduce my chances of getting into a top tier university like Georgetown, Washington and Lee, UVA, or Tufts

Say a lacking math score is the only major weakness on my resume... will it be a major factor in getting rejected if everything else is good?

I have the same question – except my scores are 800 CR and 660 Math.

Also, the toughest schools to get into on my list are UC Berkeley and UCLA, instead of Ivies/Georgetown, and I am an in-state resident. Should I re-take?

Honestly, most probably yes. I would recommend you take it over again and at least try to get in the 600-650 range, because those are extremely competitive schools. However, it also matters what you plan to major in.
