Good school for undergraduate International Relations?

Alexandre,

Oh, I know that. But there's also American and GTown to look at. Always worth a shot, I say!

I agree. The DC three should definitely be applied to by anybody serious about IR.

UCLAri, GW is not known for its generosity. Of course, I agree that the OP should apply. But GW is quite possibly one of the worst values among the better universities.

My friend with ok stats got offered a half scholarship and his dad makes over $300,000/year.

Cornell is awesome. If you can't afford Cornell, because your family income level is low or something, it would be a free ride once you're admitted. Try Ivies for your kind of stuff. Yale, Princeton, etc all have need-based admission.

University of Virginia is a good all-round public school. Ditto for Umich. They are both ranked 24. I don't know about IR programmes in particular. I am sure you'll get into them... they look for diverse people. Best of luck for the really really famous colleges you apply to too!

apparently the tuition at GW goes down a lot if u keep a good gpa there (i don't remember the exact gpa). i went on a tour, and i couldn't believe how low it got.
