<p>You could also consider doing an undergraduate major that requires a lot of writing (e.g., English) and then an MA program in journalism. Many top schools (e.g. Harvard, Columbia, UC Berkeley) do not offer journalism as a major, but their graduates go on to do well in the journalism world. You might also consider a double degree at Oberlin in English and Piano -- they have an excellent English department and a newspaper.</p>
