Where are good schools for MatE preferably in CA?
^^ anyone?
preferably CSU’s / UC’s
In CA, UC Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara.
Best undergraduate materials engineering programs, according to USNWR:

UCLA & UCSB are also very good in nanotechnology:

how bout UCLA and other lower tier UC’s like UCD, UCI, UCR
and also how bout CSU’s such as the Cal Poly’s and CSULB?
Stanford, UCLA, UCD, UCI, UCSD, Cal Tech, USC, Cal Poly SLO, UCR, SJSU
UCSD doesn’t have matsci for UG tho
also y is UCR, SJSU solid for matsci?
how bout CP Pomona?
Sorry, you are correct UCSD does not Material Science Engineering for Undergrad. I know UCR’s program is a respected program.
As long as the program is ABET accredited, you can consider it a good program.
which UC’s and CSU’s are better location/ job/ and internship wise?
I also heard that UCB is much stronger than UCLA in MSE, however I personally like UCLA better. If I were to choose UCLA over Berkeley for Materials science engineering, will I have a harder time getting a job?
Both schools are highly ranked so you should go to the school that fits you academically/financially/socially. At this point it is moot, until you get acceptances from both. Finish up your applications and then enjoy you Senior year of HS. Do not worry about making any decisions until you start getting your acceptances.
I know I should focus on apps. But I want to try to make decisions early, so I can save time later.
You can research the different schools ranking/curriculum/post grad job prospects, but it will come down where you are accepted. Once the applications are submitted, there is really not more that you can do but continue to do well in your classes and enjoy being a Senior.
