<p>Can anyone give me a list of schools with good if not great physics departments? Preferably schools would be in the Midwest especialy near to Chicago. </p>

<p>If your preference is to be in the midwest then I would say you should look into University of Chicago, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and University of Michigan.</p>

<p>I'd prefer not to go to a school that does not offer majors outside of engineering and the physical sciences. The list helps a alot. Keep it coming please.</p>
