<p>You have a decent chance at a number of OOS publics simply because they will want you to be a full-pay OOS student. Like I said, look at schools ranked below #70. For schools like BU and IU, it could be iffy (I think they are ranked above #70.). For a school like MSU, you probably would get accepted…again, they would love the fact that you would be paying the high OOS costs.</p>
<p>Be aware that many parents will NOT pay high OOS rates for schools that really aren’t any/much better than the instate public alternatives. You live in NY…so your parents may say, "Hey, you can go to a SUNY for about $20k, so we’re not paying $40k+ per year for you to go to MSU…a school that isn’t better than SUNY Stony, Bing, etc.</p>
