Good Schools that can look past low GPA

<p>While I mostly agreed with ‘lookingforward,’ as a former MSU honors student + Lyman Briggs scholar, I’ve found this statement a bit over-generalized… Since there are roughly 3,000+ academically very well accomplished honors kids at Michigan State, who based on MSU Honors College admission criteria, have achieved the “minimum” of the followings in high school:</p>

<pre><code>*Rank in the top 5 percent of their high school graduating class.
*Have an ACT composite score of at least 30 or an SAT score of at least 1360 (Critical Reading plus Math sections only). MSU requires an ACT or SAT with a writing component.
